There are a range to suit the credit card traveller. Check the links below for more.

B&B

Can work out as expensive as some of the more modest Hotel rooms. The Botanic Lodge and the Helga lodge are probably 2 of the most central.

Camping

No surprise, no campsite in central belfast but further out of the city they are plentiful.

CAMPING

For the committed tourer.

Tourism here is very much in its infancy. For nearly 30 years the only tourists were the very curious and the very brave. SInce 1998 all this has changed. The tourism infrastructure is now very much at the top of the agenda. Because of this, most campsites are now very well signposted and there are scores of them all over the North. Camping starts about 10 miles outside Belfast. Not surprisingly a lot are concentrated on the coast, but there are more than enough in-land. Camping in Donegal is not as easy, it's recommended heading for a hostel that has camping facilities.

CAMP SITES CLOSEST TO BELFAST

To the west at Hillborough, a quiet picturesque village, is the Lakeside View Caravan Park .

Moira, another small village, has a site in its centre, both these leave you placed to cycle either west into Armagh and Tyrone or south to Down. The ARDS PININSULA close to Belfast has an abundance of camp sites. Larne and Antrim will take you toward the north and the Antrim Coast and it's sites.

Use the links on the left (<)and plot all the campsites that lie on your intended route. This gives you the flexibility to vary your route. E-mail or phone before travelling to confirm opening times.

HOSTELING

Not quite as abundant as other parts of Ireland, but there are still enough.
