ROAD

Road infrastructure in Northern Ireland is largely superior to that in the the Republic of Ireland, though that is changing gradually.

Driving from Dublin towards Belfast should takes about 1.45hr. The newly opened Dundalk bypass has shaved at least 40-60min off the journey. A good road map or journey planner should get you there with little trouble.

BY ROAD

If you're travelling by car with bike on board some of the information on this site won't apply.

You'll arrive by sea at Larne, Belfast or Dublin Harbour. Road signs from either of these ports are fairly straighforward. If you've booked accomodation ahead ask for detailed directions from your port of arrival. If not use this site to get accommodation information.
Do, however, take time to browse through as you may want to ditch your car and head off for a day or two. There are loads of places to see, some good circuits, MTB tracks and lots of clubs to link up with. You'll find good accommodation links, publications, events and places of interest.
