Did I say that out loud? I certainly didn’t when I was at secondary school staring at the letters A, C, D & C freshly carved into the wooden desk next to me, with bare fingernails. It’s alright being an individual but in some instances you’re much better blending in.

Trapper John: Look, mother, I want to go to work in one hour. For the past 4 seasons I've pulled out the Cross bike and thrown myself into a couple of B races during the season.
The results are always identical - I get pummelled in the 1st race and improve a bit in the second race before packing it after the 3rd, promising to give it a better go next year.
