“Do you have a knife” he asked in broken English.
“A knife?” I repeated, slightly incredulously.

An older woman – long waspish hair and thin sat – on the concrete semi circular seating outside, knees hunkered up, earphones in ear.

A small side project I’m working on to grow 1000 tress from seed and plant them over the next 5–10 years.
It sounds a lot but it’s not. You could hold 1000 acorns in a small carrier bag. Growing them takes up little space but bringing them to a stage where they can be planted out will take a bit more room and some cooperation from local land owners.

Did I say that out loud? I certainly didn’t when I was at secondary school staring at the letters A, C, D & C freshly carved into the wooden desk next to me, with bare fingernails. It’s alright being an individual but in some instances you’re much better blending in.
